Lake Mackintosh Marina & Parks
Enjoy boating, picnicking and fishing on this beautiful manmade lake that borders the Mackintosh community. There is much to do at two parks (one in Alamance and one in Guilford), and the views of nature and wildlife on the lake are simply breathtaking. The parks feature kayak/canoe launches, recreational areas, and wildlife trails. The Alamance marina entrance is less than five minutes from the gatehouse.
Burlington Royals Baseball
Appalachian League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, the Burlington Royals play a 34-game home schedule June-August at Burlington Athletic Stadium. Come see the major league stars of tomorrow playing in Alamance County today. Players who have begun their careers in Burlington include Manny Ramirez, Jim Thome, Jaret Wright, Bartolo Colon, Richie Sexson and more. Affordable family fun!
Golf
Golf, golf and more golf - right at your fingertips throughout the Burlington area. Some of the closest courses you’ll want to try your luck on are: Shamrock Golf Club, Indian Valley, The Challenge, Mill Creek or Brookwood.
Skateboarding
Burlington is the home of not one but two state of the art skateboard parks. Whether your want to rip, shred or catch some air (or just watch from the safety of the bleachers) this is the place to do it.
ACE Speedway/NASCAR Racing
NASCAR sanctioned, weekly Racing Series Member Track. Friday night stock car racing on a 4/10 mile asphalt track from April to September. Racing divisions include Late Model Stock, Modifieds, Mini Stock and Xtreme.
